SICILIAN ONION OF GIARRATANA

In this recipe, onions of Giarratana (Slow Food presidium), are cut into fillets and prepared with tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, oregano and chilli. The sweetness of the Giarratana onions, reaches an excellent symbiosis with the sweet and sour preparation.

Ideal for accompanying cheeses and dishes of meat and fish, delicious even alone, eaten as an appetizer or on a slice of toasted bread.
